I think this is aimed at women because Beyonce is idolized by many for how beautiful and talented she is, she’s a huge role-model. This video is trying to emphasize living life to your fullest potential and to do something memorable to help out your community. I love this song but once I saw this video for it I really think it shows how powerful the words are.

I agree with Amanda 100% Beyonce is such an inspiration. She is a wonderful person. Such and inspiration to lots of girls. This video gives me chills it just so powerful. It teaches you how you should help your community. It shows how big things can make a huge change but also small things can.

I have to agree with the other posts. She is an inspiration and a role-model to a lot of people. It made me want to help out the in community more and made me think about helping out not just in the community, but in other places. The video made me shiver.

I don’t think it was only pointed out to women. That isn’t how I took it at all. I took it as communities coming together to help others who have little to nothing. The video showed both men and women reaching out to the less fortunate.
This video gave me chill bumps all the way through. I even checked out the website. It is very inspirational.

To me it’s saying that we shouldn’t let people label us, that we shouldn’t be invisble. We need to show that we are here and that we belong here too. It’s up to us how we become visible but like Miss Gunning said to me last class that when we learm to except pur flaws people are no longer able to use them against us. I think if everyone was more sure of themselves we would all be proud enough to say that I was here and that’s were i belong.

This video is very inspiring and i like it a lot. Beyonce is a great role-model, she is so powerful and confident, it relates to our self-esteem unit quite a bit because this is all about impowering women. I think we all aspire to follow in her footsteps, being proud of who we are with fufilling our dreams in impacting this world. “I Was Here” is a strong message to females across the world like amanda said, living life to its fullest potential and making a difference.

this video is specific to women because beyonce is a very strong and independant women that alot of girls look up to, she is a great role model. this video is very inspiring. i think this video is trying to say that we need to do the things we love and want to do, dont go through live passing everything buy, take the chance and the opportunities that you get, make people remeber who you are. dont just be a shadow. this is good for our self esteem unit because it makes us believe that we can do whatever we put our minds to and people do reconize us if we give people the chance to.

This video gives me chills, beyonce is amazing and is loved by so many young women and coming from her the words will mean so much more and are so inspirational and is telling you to live your life to the fullest and even the slightest way you could help is better than nothing

  12. CaitlinR says:

i agree with all the other posts, “i was here” is emphasizing that we need to stand up and be confident enough to make a change in this world and be more then just another insecure woman. we need to do something with our lives that helps our community and i also think that Beyonce is so beautiful and empowering to women because she is such a stong and confident woman.
